According to Freddie Mac’s Multi-Indicator Market Index, overall the U.S. housing market was largely flat in March and only 13 of the 50 states plus the District of Columbia were improving based on a 3 month trend. The news sparked a rally in bonds and pushed mortgage rates to their lowest level since last November with conforming no point 30 year fixed rates averaging 4 1/8 th and 15 year rates closer to 3 1/8 th.

And now for something completely different: In 1997 the Texas legislature passed a bill to allow casting absentee ballots from space because of NASA and the astronauts living in the Houston area.
